visited the farm while caravanning around Tasmania last summer. Bought 1 kg roast hazelnuts and froze them when we arrived home, as suggested. They really did defrost to just as fresh and crisp. This season purchased a 2.5 kg pack to use throughout the year. Already turned some into hazelnut biscotti, chopped to sprinkle over salads and desserts. Truly delicious!
I have always avoided hazelnuts and wasn't at all a fan until my friends shared some Hazelbrae from a recent order. Wow, if this is what hazelnuts really should taste like, I am converted.
